A foraged wedding shoot with fine art details at The Forest Side Hotel, Grasmere

I don't normally say yes to collaborative shoots in "the busy season", but I just couldn't resist when The Forest Side contacted me to see if I was interested in coming together with some amazing local suppliers to create some images to help position them as a brand new top end wedding venue.

We took our inspiration from the surroundings of the hotel and the exquisite creations of their head chef Kevin Tickle, whose menus heavily draw on ingredients grown and foraged in the immediate area. We were also lucky to benefit from the involvement of the Heaton Cooper Studio, who kindly allowed us to use original artwork and equipment from their archives.

I hope you love the photos - the weather wasn't so kind to us, but we braved the rain - it is the Lakes after all!
